BirdlandMusic.NET Which payments do you accept? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Which payments do you accept? Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover/Novus and Paypal are accepted, as well as debit cards which bear the Visa or Mastercard logo. Personal checks, money orders, wire transfers and Purchase orders are also accepted. Please select desired method when checking out. We will forward payment instructions for purchase orders checks and wire transfers. Some orders for personal checks, money orders and purchase orders are subject to approval. All Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover orders are not billed until before the item ships. PayPal orders are not processed by us. PayPal orders are done by PayPal and are processed immediately once the order is placed. We have no control over this as it is how PayPal processes orders. International orders are billed once the customer approves the agreed upon shipping time. Due to the difficulty in processing international orders this is required. Most international credit cards do not verify billing information. With the time zone and language differences it takes longer to verify card holder information. All Special order items may be billed upon placing the order in full or with the agreed upon deposit. Back to Top How are shipping charges calculated? Birdlandmusic.net offers free Fed-Ex ground shipping for eligible items on orders over $150. Shipping charges for ineligible items vary according to product weight, packing considerations, and destination. Most products are shipped via Fed Ex or UPS (because they offer package insurance and excellent tracking software). Larger items are generally shipped via common carrier. If you go to the shopping cart checkout page you will see the shipping costs, if any apply. Back to Top Yes, you can, as long as the item has not been shipped by the vendor or shipped from our inventory. If the order has already been sent to the vendor we will attempt to cancel the order, but cannot guarantee that the cancellation will be possible. If you do receive an order that was canceled, accept delivery of the item and call 1-866-446-4135 for instructions. All orders require a return authorization #. Items refused will delay the refund process and can result in loss of returned merchandise. All freight charges on cancelled orders after shipments have left are not refundable. Freight charged incurred for returns of cancelled orders are not refundable. In addition refused items are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Fraudulent claims made in regard to refused merchandise or chargebacks will be contested to the full extent of the law at the customers expense. How long do credits take? We submit all requests for credits within 72 hours of receipt; however, it may take 7-14 business days for you to receive your credit. You should see this on your next credit card statement or the following one, depending on where you are in your billing cycle. In addition, credits cannot be issued until the merchandise is received and inspected. Back to Top Can I return an item that is damaged, defective, or I just don't want? If, within 7 business days, you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will replace the item or provide a full refund of the merchandise amount less any shipping charges. After 7 days store credit only. No returns after 30 days. (Return time is not subject to freight traveling time). Items considered to be on clearance, sale or auction status are not returnable after 2 business days (from placing order) with out our approval. Any such returns if shipped or canceled before shipment are subject to a 25% restocking fee or store credit only! Shipping charges are not refundable. Merchandise returned without authorization will be charged a 25% restocking fee, and you will be charged freight in both directions. In addition all auction fees such as ebay will be paid by customer if auction is canceled or returned. To avoid a restocking charge, please return your merchandise in the original box and packing materials, including all accessories and the owner's manual. Do not destroy or discard original packing for 30 days. The value of missing accessories will be deducted from the credit amount of a return. Personalized items, opened personal care items, domestic or computer software items, computer interfaces and special order merchandise are not returnable. Refurbished merchandise can only be returned if damaged or defective. Certain merchandise may require manufacturer service first before return is allowed. Any special order item cannot be canceled once it is received from the manufacturer. Special order items cannot be returned except for replacement or repair under the manufacturers warranty. All deposits on special order items are not refundable. NO EXCEPTIONS. Back to Top What happens if the item I ordered is not available? We ship products before the estimated delivery in the vast majority of cases. On occasion, however, an IN STOCK order may be delayed due to availability or other circumstances. In the unlikely event there is a change or delay in filling your order, we will notify you via phone, postal mail or email. We know that this can be inconvenient, and we will offer you one of the following alternatives as appropriate to your situation: Offer an ALTERNATE selection of equal or greater value. Offer a BACKORDER and new estimated delivery. You can wait for the new delivery date, or cancel for a full refund at any time prior to shipment. CANCEL your order. We constantly update our computer system with new information from our vendors. On rare occasions new circumstances come to our attention after the placement of your order. Therefore, we reserve the right to cancel your order for a full refund at any time. Back to Top Why was I charged sales tax on my purchase? Only Massachusetts residents will be charged 5% sales tax. This will be shown in the shopping cart when you are logged in. Back to Top How long will it take to receive my order? Most standard ground shipments will leave within 1-3 business days. If you need it shipped the same day please call or email us to confirm it is possible. Some Ground orders are transferred from one warehouse to another before tracking #s are issued to the customer. The standard shipping time for orders shipped via UPS ground or Fed Ex ground & Home delivery is 2-7 days, and promotional items should ship in 2-7 days. Large items which cannot be shipped UPS or Fed Ex are shipped via common carrier (trucking company) and may take up to 21-28 days to arrive. These products are marked in our catalogue and are ineligible for free shipping on our website. Back to Top Can I have an order shipped to my P.O. Box? The vast majority of our merchandise is shipped via Fed Ex and UPS, and a valid street address is needed to ensure proper delivery. If a P.O. Box is used as a shipping address, you must select USPS priority mail service. Back to Top Can I ship my order to a different address? Yes! When you add an item to your shopping cart and go to the Checkout screen, new users will fill out a form that asks for both your billing address as well as the shipping address. Registered users will be presented with a saved version of their profile, and prompted to modify any fields of the form before final purchase. Just replace the shipping address you want to ship your merchandise to, then continue. Remember to use a street address, not a Post Office Box, for any shipping address. Credit card Law only authorizes shipments to the card holders billing address. So you in most cases will be required to sign a emailed credit card receipt and fax it back to us along with a copy of your picture ID. Alternately you can scan / digital image and email the required documents. Yes, If you live outside the United states except for Hawaii, and Alaska, you may be charged duties and taxes by your Government when the item arrives in Customs.
