From New York's Esteemed Bass Maker the Kolstein Fendt Model Bass Violin is currently being played in both professional Jazz and Orchestral Venues.

Some of the World Renowned bassists that are finding "their sound" in this beautiful classic are Jazz artists such as Tom Barney, Rodney Whittaker, Dom Drwall ( Cecil Taylor's Bassist), Roberto Vally, and Classical virtuoso Mark Bernat ( international soloist and professor of Double Bass at Emery University...just to name a few.

Kolstein Fendt Model Specifications

  • Top table is a two-piece plate of vertical grained spruce
  • Back table is a two-piece plate of slab-cut willow
  • Ribs of matching willow to that of the back table
  • Scroll and neck are original of slightly figured maple
  • Individual brass rococo tuning gears
  • Varnish is reddish brown with amber hues
  • Excellent condition
  • Overall body length: 45 in.
  • Width at the upper bout: 20 1/2 in.
  • Width at the center bout: 15 1/2 in.
  • Width at the lower bout: 27 in.
